Martin Andersson is the co-founder and CSO of Sprint Bioscience, a drug discovery company that uses fragment-based methods to build a portfolio of innovative oncology projects. Martin has been with the company for 13 years and 7 months. Prior to Sprint Bioscience, they were a senior scientist at AstraZeneca for 5 years and 11 months, where they were responsible for large scale protein purification, laboratory automation, and project management. Before that, they were a scientist at Stockholm University for 2 years and 6 months, where they established a new lab focused on structural genomics. During their time at Stockholm University, they supervised lab technicians and PhD students in a process covering all aspects of a structural genomics pipeline, including bioinformatic target selection, PCR cloning, expression screening, protein production, protein analysis, crystallisation, and X-ray crystallography.

Martin Andersson has a PhD in Biochemistry from Stockholm University and an MSc in Molecular Biology from the same school. Martin also attended Västerviks gymnasium, a science-focused high school.
