Eric Chen

Eric Chen currently holds the position of Director and Head of Engineering at SpruceID since December 2024. Prior to this role, Eric served as an Engineering Manager at Stripe from April 2024 to December 2024. Eric co-founded Cakework in December 2022, remaining until May 2023, and also co-founded a Stealth Startup at the Allen Institute for AI from March 2021 to March 2022. Eric's previous experience includes serving as a Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services from September 2017 to December 2019, as well as in multiple roles at Amazon from 2011 to March 2017, including Software Development Manager, Software Development Engineer, and SDE Intern. Eric began a career in technology as a Research Assistant at UC Davis from October 2010 to June 2011, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, from 2008 to 2011.
