Ian then joined Steer as the Group Finance Director, overseeing the company's financial functions. Burrell went on to work at RELX as a Divisional Controller and at UK2 Group as the Group Finance Director. Ian later served as the Group Finance Director at LGC, where they played a key role in providing genomics solutions and analytical testing products. Currently, Burrell holds the position of Group CFO at SPT Labtech, a company that specializes in developing innovative liquid handling and sample preparation solutions. Overall, their work experience spans across multinational organizations in various sectors, including technology, publishing, and engineering.
Ian Burrell has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, which they obtained from 1993 to 1996. Ian later pursued another Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Management Science from the Imperial College Business School, completing it from 1996 to 1997. Additionally, Ian Burrell has obtained certifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Ian became an Associate (ACA) in 2000 and achieved the status of Fellow (FCA) in 2011.
