Thomas Behrendt is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Project Origination at Squadron Energy since October 2017, where responsibilities include developing large-scale wind and solar projects for Australia's energy future. Prior to this, Thomas worked as an Independent Consultant specializing in energy transition and sustainability, and held roles as a Business Developer and Energy Consultant at HW Technologies. Early career experiences include an internship at Carbon Neutral Pty Ltd in carbon reporting and site assessment at PNE Wind AG, as well as co-founding and operating YourButler Pty Ltd, a startup offering on-demand personal assistant services. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Renewable Energies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy and the Environment from Murdoch University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Universität Greifswald.
