SRCE
Ognjen Orel is a highly experienced professional in the field of computing and information systems, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Zagreb since February 2020. Ognjen has held the position of Chief Information Officer at SRCE since October 2001, overseeing information and data infrastructure management, software product management, and leading projects for national-level information systems. Ognjen also serves as a Board Member of Adria IUG since November 2009 and was a member of the Board of Directors for the International Informix Users Group from March 2019 to December 2022. Previously, Ognjen worked as a Software Developer and Lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing from October 2001 to May 2004. Academically, Ognjen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computing, earned from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing between 2009 and 2017, in addition to a Mr.sc. degree obtained from the same institution from 2001 to 2008 and a Master's degree in Computing from 1995 to 2001.

SRCE
The University Computing Center (Srce) was founded in 1971. While it is the oldest infrastructural institution of the academic and research community in the area of application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Srce is still one of the key subjects in planning, designing, construction and maintainance of the newest computing, communication and information infrastructure (e-infrastructure). Srce continuously maintains stable, reliable and high quality operations of the present e-infrastructure and central systems which support it, ensures connection among Croatian academic e-infrastructure with the related European and global e-infrastructure and gives practical, consulting and educational support to the members of the academic and research community in using ICT and acts as the computing centre of the largest university in Croatia – the University of Zagreb.
