Shane Smart is an experienced professional in the fields of software development, quality assurance, and engineering productivity. Currently serving as Head of Web & App Development at SRT Marine Systems plc, Shane has previously held key leadership roles at Ultraleap, where responsibilities included Engineering Director focusing on Quality Assurance and Engineering Productivity and Engineering Acceleration Manager. Notable past experiences also include Mobile Test Manager at Dyson, QA Consultant at Wise Trading Technologies, and Software Developer in Test at Somo Ltd, where Shane built a QA team from inception. With a career spanning over 15 years, Shane has demonstrated expertise in automation, agile methodologies, and team management across various organizations, beginning with early roles in quality control and automation at Thomson and Thomson Scientific. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Exeter.
