Rus Murakami has a diverse work experience in various positions and industries. Rus started their career as an Executive Chef at A Pacific Cafe in 2000 and worked there until 2002. Following that, they became a Business Owner and Partner of Alii Power Cleaning, managing over 120 accounts, including well-known restaurant chains such as Chili's and Gordon Biersch. In 2005, Rus joined DoubleTree by Hilton as a Food and Beverage Manager, overseeing restaurant and banquet operations. In 2007, they transitioned to SSA Group as a General Manager and later moved up to the role of Area General Manager responsible for Food & Beverage and Retail. Rus was then promoted to Regional Vice President, where they oversaw SSA Hawaii Locations and Albuquerque Bio Park, including attractions like Pearl Harbor and the USS Bowfin Submarine. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Financial Development at SSA Group.
From 1986 to 1989, Rus Murakami attended the American Culinary Federation, where they obtained a degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. Rus successfully completed the program and earned the title of Certified Cook.
