David Griffiths has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. David currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors at G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation, where they previously held the roles of Vice Chair and Member of the Board of Directors. Prior to this, they were the Head of Safety, Health and Environment at SSE Renewables, responsible for managing the global safety, health, and environmental team. Before SSE Renewables, David was the Head of Safety, Health and Environment at SSE plc, where they led the corporate SHE team for the wholesale business portfolio. David also worked as an HSEQ Manager at Repsol UK Limited, managing offshore wind farm projects and supporting joint venture HSEQ activities. Earlier in their career, David held positions at Scottish and Southern Energy, Scottish Power Renewables, and Repower UK, where they played various roles in the operations, maintenance, and development of wind farm projects.
David Griffiths MSc CMIOSH completed their Master's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management from Loughborough University between 2015 and 2017. David also pursued Executive Leadership studies at Hult Ashridge in 2018-2019. Additionally, they obtained certifications from IQMS and Kelvin TOPSET in 2014. Prior to that, they received training from RRC Training in 2013 and Woodward in 2012. No specific degrees or fields of study are provided for their training at IQMS, Kelvin TOPSET, RRC Training, and Woodward.
