Emily Copeland (Carson) is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Business Development Manager and previously as Business Development Analyst for Hydrogen at SSE Thermal since October 2022. Prior to this role, Emily worked for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as a CCUS Projects Assurance Manager and an Energy Innovation Project Manager focused on Hydrogen BECCS from May 2021 to October 2022. Emily's earlier experience includes positions at INEOS, where roles encompassed Geoscientist and Supply Chain Analyst during the INEOS Graduate Programme, and as Research Coordinator for The Daily Mile Foundation, collaborating with global universities on children's health research. Additional internships include work at Total and Centrica, focusing on geoscience and competitor analysis, respectively. Emily holds a Master’s Degree in Earth Science from the University of Oxford and another Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London.
