John C. Erve possesses extensive expertise in scientific consulting, laboratory support, and education, with a career spanning over three decades in toxicology and drug development. Currently serving as an Instructor for the City of South San Francisco, Erve teaches Whole-Foods Plant-Based Nutrition and the Science of Lifestyle Medicine. Previously, as President and Founder of Jerve Scientific Consulting, Erve specialized in DMPK, toxicology, and bioanalytical issues, particularly using high-resolution mass spectrometry for drug metabolite identification. Erve has held key positions at major pharmaceutical companies, including Principal Scientist roles at Elan Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where contributions included metabolite identification and drug safety evaluations. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Toxicology from Oregon State University and BS and MS degrees in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.
