James Madson

James Madson is a seasoned mining engineering professional with extensive experience in the mining industry. Currently serving as Technical Services Superintendent at SSR Mining Inc. since January 2022, James has also held interim roles in mine planning and as a Senior Mining Engineer. Prior to this, James worked as a Senior Mining Engineer at Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation from December 2020 to November 2021 and contributed as a Mine Engineer at Freeport-McMoRan from February 2013 to November 2020, focusing on long-range engineering as well as ore control and dispatch engineering. Early career internships at Freeport-McMoRan provided foundational experience in the field. James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, completed in 2012.
