Julie Vandersluis has a strong background in marketing and communications. Julie started their career as a Sales Coordinator at Hooker Creek Companies, LLC in 2002 and then worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Berman Consulting Group from 2005 to 2006. Julie was responsible for managing advertising, promotional events, and websites for multiple clients. In 2006, Berman Consulting Group was purchased by their current employer, Home Federal Bank, where they served as a Marketing Specialist until 2011. During this time, they gained experience in marketing strategy and implementation. In 2011, Julie joined St. Charles Health System as a Supervisor, Marketing & Advertising. Julie supervised a team responsible for creating branded marketing and advertising material. In 2017, Julie was promoted to the position of Marketing and Creative Services Manager at St. Charles Health System, where they continued to excel in their role. In 2023, they were further promoted to the position of Director of Communications and Marketing, demonstrating their leadership and expertise in the field.

Julie Vandersluis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University, completing their studies from 1998 to 2002. Julie also holds a certification as a Dare to Lead Trained professional, obtained in 2019 from Dare to Lead™ Trained institution.
