We are a worldwide leader in the production of extruded aluminium. Now owned by Sankyo Tateyama Inc. in Japan, our company was founded in the German town of Bitterfeld in 1915.

STEP-G is internationally positioned with production sites in Germany, Belgium and China. Our extrusions plants are highly specialized and offer a comprehensive range of profiles and rods as well as further fabrication. Our innovative quality has earned the trust of the automotive industry plus its direct suppliers. We also work with the transportation sector, the building and electrical engineering industries, construction and solar energy. From processing to component finishing or high assembly and logistic systems, our product portfolio offers a full range of possibilities. Our own casting is fitted with extensive capabilities for specialized alloys and offers our customers one-stop security in terms of both technology and supply.

The STEP-G plant located in Duffel, Belgium focuses on processing high tenacity aluminium materials for the aerospace industry, as well as free-cutting alloys for our international customers in the automotive industry. From our Chinese plant in Tianjin, STEP-G provides international customers with on-site production at a European standard and also profiles tailored to the Asian automotive and rail sectors.
