As the Associate Dean of Students, Dr. Bhaiyat is responsible for ensuring the welfare of students in the School of Veterinary Medicine from matriculation to graduation and beyond. Dr. Bhaiyat, who has over twenty years of teaching and practical experience in veterinary pathology, is also a Professor within the University’s pathobiology department. Prior to his career at St. George’s, Dr. Bhaiyat served for 12 years as a veterinary pathologist at the University of Zambia.
Dr. Bhaiyat’s research interests include infectious diseases of domestic and wild animals and poultry and he has conducted retrospective studies on pathological conditions encountered in domestic animals in Grenada.
Dr. Bhaiyat earned his BVM degree at the University of Zambia and holds a PhD degree from Hokkaido University in Japan. Dr. Bhaiyat is fluent in English, Gujarathi, Urdu, Japanese, Tonga, Nyanja, and Chilapalapa.
