Nicholas Phillips is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in editorial and reporting roles. Currently serving as Senior Editor at St. Louis Magazine since November 2019, Nicholas previously held positions as Staff Reporter for Missouri Lawyers Media and Managing Editor for Out in STL Magazine, where responsibility included overseeing the launch of a quarterly magazine for the LGBTQ communities in St. Louis. A freelance journalist from 2013 to 2017, Nicholas contributed to prominent publications such as The New York Times and VICE News. Previous roles include Staff Writer and Deputy News Editor at Riverfront Times, as well as a contract Investigative Reporter at The New York Times, where significant investigative work exposed pension fraud at the Long Island Rail Road. Nicholas holds a graduate degree from Columbia University and a B.A. in French and English from Truman State University.
