Matthew James has a diverse work experience spanning several prominent healthcare organizations. Matthew began their career at Franklin Health in 1999, where they served as an Account Director overseeing the implementation and management of complex case management programs for high-profile clients generating over $10 million in annual revenue. In 2003, they became the Practice Administrator at Northeastern Neurology & Pain Mgmt Center, where they successfully managed all aspects of operations, resulting in a significant increase in patient volume and revenue. Matthew then joined St. Clare's Health System in 2004 as the Manager of Budget & Decision Support, where they provided leadership and direction for financial, clinical, and operational initiatives. During their tenure, they managed a $1 billion annual operating budget and played a key role in supporting executive stakeholders in important operational decisions. In 2012, they joined St. Luke's University Health Network as the Vice President of Finance, where they created and developed internal infrastructure and protocols to drive financial management and operational efficiencies within the hospital-owned physician enterprise. Additionally, they led the coordination and implementation of provider compensation across various methodologies for over 800 providers and 60 sub-specialty groups, and successfully completed and achieved all aspects of a $700 million annual operating budget process. Matthew James has consistently demonstrated their expertise in finance, operations, and leadership throughout their career.
