St. Mary’s Catholic School fulfills this ministry of Catholic Education for the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, as it has continuously done since 1954, and will continue to do so in the future.  

The Catholic Education ministry of St. Mary’s Catholic School is fulfilled through the education of students in the Catholic faith, spiritual values, and traditional academic intellectual pursuits.  St. Mary’s Catholic School will engage and encourage an increasing number of students and families in acquiring an understanding of how the ministry of Catholic faith, spiritual values, and traditional academic intellectual pursuits can assist in the positive development of their children and strengthen their families.  

Mission - St. Mary’s School of Waterford NY is a parochial elementary school educating boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 8th. We provide our students with an academic environment which uniquely balances the importance of education, Catholic faith and family.  Our school’s relationship with its families is a partnership which ensures each child’s success.  Our nurturing atmosphere enables our students to excel intellectually and thrive spiritually, developing into compassionate, lifelong learners.
