St Olaf College
Marci Sortor currently serves as a Professor of History and as the Provost and Dean of the College at St. Olaf College since July 2011. Prior to this, Marci Sortor had an extensive tenure at Grinnell College from 1989 to June 2011, where responsibilities included Acting Vice President for College and Alumni Relations, Vice President for Institutional Planning, and multiple roles within the History department, culminating in the position of Associate Dean of the College. Earlier experience includes a role as Teaching and Research Fellow/Coordinator at Stanford University from January 1987 to January 1989. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D., Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts in History from UC San Diego.
