Stafford Motor Company was established in 1977 by Mr. Felix R. de Zoysa, the founder of Stafford group of companies. His entrepreneurial spirit and quest for a superior and affordable form of transport for Sri Lankans led him to introduce Honda products to Sri Lanka.

Honda products are synonymous with quality and reliability and with the introduction of Honda motorcycles in the 1970's in Sri Lanka, the popularity of the Honda brand bolstered. The growth of our organization was propelled by the sales of motorcycles and amid the backdrop economic growth in the 1980's, Honda automobiles were launched in Sri Lanka in 1983.

Stafford Motor Company, which has its roots as a fledgling enterprise with 30 staff members is now a reputed organization in Sri Lanka with a workforce of nearly 700 employees. The cornerstone of our success is our people and their commitment to deliver superiority in our brand for over four decades.

We are proud of the distinction of being one of the oldest Honda distributorships amongst the network of worldwide Honda distributors. We as an organization are constantly challenging the status-quo to meet our stakeholders’ expectations and strive towards excellence!
