Gareth Shaw

Gareth Shaw currently serves as the Head of Enterprise Risk Change at Standard Chartered Bank, a position held since August 2014, where responsibilities include directing programs for Model Risk, Rep and Sustainability Risk, and Climate Risk. Previously, Gareth held multiple leadership roles in risk management at Standard Chartered, including Head of Traded Risk and Model Risk Change and Head of Credit and Market Risk Change, as well as the role of Program Director for Credit and Portfolio Risk Technology. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Gareth was Head of Credit Risk Change Delivery at RBS Global Banking & Markets and held the position of Head of Credit Risk Programmes at Barclays Investment Bank. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Analysis, Design, and Management of Information Systems and a BSc in Economics and Industrial Relations, both obtained from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
