Razia Khan is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in the banking and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Economist and Head of Research for Africa and the Middle East at Standard Chartered Bank since September 1997, Razia also holds the position of Chief Economist for Africa within the same institution. In addition to banking, Razia contributes to social causes as a Board Trustee for Save the Children UK since September 2019 and the Royal African Society since 2012. Educationally, Razia Khan holds an MSc in Development and a BSc in Economics, both obtained from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), alongside a foundational education from Maru a Pula from 1986 to 1992.
