Thomas Pfister

Thomas Pfister is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in product development and assay validation, primarily in the fields of immunology and cancer research. Currently serving as a Product Development Scientist at Standard BioTools since October 2021, Thomas specializes in developing imaging mass cytometry reagents. Prior roles include significant contributions at the University Health Network, where responsibilities included generating antigen-specific T cells, managing biomarker assays for immunotherapy clinical trials, and leading assay development as a Research Technician III and Scientific Associate II. Thomas's earlier experience includes a decade at Leidos Biomedical Research, focusing on pharmacodynamic assay development and clinical trial support, as well as academic roles at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Nagoya University, enhancing expertise in biochemistry and assay development. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MSc in Chemistry from Carleton University, and a BSc in Biochemistry from McGill University.
