Chris Piech is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of artificial intelligence, currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer of Computer Science at Stanford University since September 2012. With a strong background in both teaching and research, Chris's focus includes exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance the learning processes associated with human intelligence. Prior experience at Stanford includes roles as an Instructor and Head Teaching Assistant for the Programming Methodologies course, where Chris successfully managed logistics for over 500 students. Additional experience includes significant computational projects at organizations such as Pixar Animation Studios and Microsoft, as well as pioneering research utilizing unsupervised machine learning to analyze MRI scans in children with autism. Chris holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and both BS and MA degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University, completing these studies between 2006 and 2016.
