Madeleine Cravens is an experienced educator and writer, currently serving as a Lecturer and Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University since April 2022. Cravens also works as a Teaching Artist with Community-Word Project and as a Writing Instructor at Writopia Lab. Previous roles include Online Editor for The Columbia Journal and Development and Outreach Associate at The Brooklyn Rail. Cravens gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and Oberlin College. Cravens holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics and Creative Writing from Oberlin College, along with a foundational education from Bard High School Early College.
