Philip Lau

Philip Lau, PhD, is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in leading large teams across various sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering, Asia at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., Philip oversees over 1,000 engineers in product development for renowned brands such as DeWalt and Craftsman. Previously, at Otis Elevator Co., Philip held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Engineering and Executive Director of Engineering China, where Philip managed over 400 engineers and drove innovation at multiple design centers. Philip's earlier experience includes Vice President of R&D for Fresenius Kabi, focusing on medical device development, and roles at Medsoft System and FMC Technologies specializing in medical devices and oil and gas technologies. Philip holds a PhD in Engineering - Photonics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Bath.
