Mr Loh holds a Master of Business Administration from Multimedia University, Malaysia and Class 1 Marine Engineer Officer Competency qualification (Foreign Going, Motor), Malaysia. He received his Diploma in Marine Engineering from Ungku Omar Polytechnic, Malaysia.
In 1992 to 2002, Mr. Loh Chee Can began his career in Singapore as a Junior Engineer. He was subsequently promoted to Chief Engineer, served onboard ocean-going vessels trading worldwide with Ship Management Companies in Singapore and Malaysia. From 2003 to 2018, he started ashore as an Engineer Superintendent and progressed to Senior Engineer Superintendent, Senior Manager and Engineering Project Head in a leading Shipping Conglomerate in Malaysia. During this period, he served at different units in Fleet Management Services handling LNG/LPG and Crude Tankers, Operations and Performance Improvement, Maritime Education/Training and Project Management.
