Ersin Uzun

Ersin Uzun is an accomplished academic and business leader, currently serving as the Endowed Executive Director and Professor at the ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute at the Rochester Institute of Technology since February 2022. In addition, Uzun is actively involved with Upstate Venture Connect as a UNY50 Member & Mentor and serves as an LP and Venture Partner at StartFast Ventures. With extensive experience in leadership roles at PARC, a Xerox Company, Ersin Uzun oversaw innovation, incubation, and research in areas such as AI, IoT, and cybersecurity. Previous positions include board memberships at ArgosAI and Novity, co-founding Identillect Technologies, and holding consulting roles that focused on security technology solutions. Uzun's educational background includes a PhD and an MSc in Computer Science from UC Irvine and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University, complemented by business training from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
