Bob Thomas

Bob Thomas has an extensive career in engineering management within the hospitality industry, spanning over four decades. Since September 1988, Bob has served as the Director of Engineering at both Starwood Hotels & Resorts and The Westin Hotel Michigan Ave, overseeing significant renovations and restorations, including guestroom, meeting room, and public space projects. Prior to this, Bob held similar positions at Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, managing a large multifaceted hotel renovation, and at Hyatt Hotels, serving as Assistant Director of Engineering and Project Manager for high-capacity locations. Bob's experience includes comprehensive management of budgets, contractors, and various engineering trades through multiple ownership and corporate transitions. Education includes coursework in Project Management and HVAC at Triton College, though a degree was not completed.
