Juliana Stratton has extensive experience in leadership and conflict resolution. From November 2018 to January 2019, Stratton served as Lieutenant Governor of Illinois after being elected as Lieutenant Governor-Elect. As the President and Founder of JDS Mediation Services, Inc. from January 1997 to January 2019, Stratton provided negotiation and alternative dispute resolution services, leading training and facilitating discussions on various forms of conflict. Prior to this, Stratton was the Director at the University of Illinois at Chicago's Center for Public Safety and Justice, overseeing research and training on community policing from July 2015 to November 2018, and was the Executive Director of Cook County Justice for Children, focusing on juvenile court administration from November 2014 to July 2015. Additionally, Stratton taught conflict management and negotiation skills at Loyola University Chicago from January 2010 to July 2015. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
