Calvin T. J. has extensive experience in procurement and diversity initiatives across various roles. Currently serving as Chief of Procurement and Deputy Secretary for Operations at the State of Maryland since 2016, Calvin excels in implementing procurement strategies and ensuring compliance with state laws. Previously held the position of Procurement Manager, where Calvin developed initiatives to enhance minority workforce pipelines and created a statewide directory for minority healthcare providers. As an independent consultant from 2015 to 2019, Calvin provided services to multiple organizations, including police departments and healthcare institutions. In academic roles, Calvin served as Director for Multicultural and Leadership Programs at Quincy University and Associate Director of the Office of Diversity at Henderson State University, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Calvin holds a Master of Science in Non-Profit Administration from LSU Shreveport, a Maryland Equity and Inclusion Leadership certification, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Henderson State University.
