John Garvison

John (Michael) Garvison, MBA, is an experienced financial professional currently serving as a Management Accountant for the State of Oregon since September 2023. With a diverse background spanning over two decades, Garvison's previous roles include Accounting Manager and Regulatory Compliance Manager at Pohle NV Center Inc., Financial Controller at Arizona Heart Rhythm Center, and Controller for a small manufacturing startup. Significant leadership experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for both Skamania County and Clackamas County Soil & Water Conservation District. Additionally, Garvison contributed as a Board Member of the Washington State Municipal Research Services Council, appointed by Governor Christine Gregoire. Garvison holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development from Upper Iowa University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Political Science from Portland State University.
