Ties den Dekker is the CEO and Co-Founder of Staxxer, a company focused on automating VAT and EPR for e-commerce, since January 2021. Additionally, Ties has been a Co-Founder of Spy-Fy since September 2015, providing premium gear to enhance digital privacy with distribution in over 90 countries. Previously, Ties served as the Marketing & Communication Manager at Impact Terra from December 2016 to September 2017, where the focus was on developing mobile solutions for the agricultural sector in Myanmar. Ties began involvement in organizational representation as the National Representative for the Erasmus Student Network Aisbl from May 2011 to May 2012. Ties holds multiple degrees in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, alongside a degree in International Business from Tilburg University and an international exchange experience at Monash University. Education was completed at Het Varendonck College with a focus on Economics and Society.

By using its software, Staxxer can make VAT services easier, faster, and more affordable for all company sizes. The world of European VAT is complex. You need VAT registrations if you want to stock up somewhere and certain threshold values that you have to keep an eye on. The new One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme does not make it any easier. You now have to file a VAT return on every cross-border sale done. This can hold the online seller back from going international. And that is very unfortunate and unnecessary.
