Ivan Timofeev is an experienced professional in the fields of propulsion systems and aerodynamics, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at SteamJet Space Systems since September 2017, where the focus is on developing a water-fueled propulsion system for CubeSats and small satellites. Prior to this role, Ivan worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from July 2011 to April 2021, authored technical articles, and held engineering positions at Novosibirsk State University and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Siberian Aeronautical Research Institute," contributing to civil aircraft performance research. In addition, Ivan co-founded DeOrbit System, a startup focused on cubesat propulsion modules, and has experience as a paramedic. Academic qualifications include a Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences degree from Novosibirsk State University and master's and bachelor's degrees in Ballistics and Aerodynamics from Novosibirsk State Technical University.
