Sivapalan Balanayagam, also known as Balan, has an extensive background in software engineering and project management within the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Vice President of Base Software Engineering at Stellantis, Balan leads the development of digital base software platforms for software-defined vehicles, focusing on customer experiences, new business models, and collaborations. Prior to their current role, Sivapalan (Balan) held positions at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and DaimlerChrysler, where Sivapalan (Balan) managed projects related to vehicle electrical systems, software development, and manufacturing.
