Coenrad Fourie

Coenrad Fourie serves as a Professor at the University of Stellenbosch since 2000, focusing on research and management of internationally-connected groups in superconductor and quantum electronics circuit design, alongside EDA tool development. Fourie has held various academic titles, including Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education, grant applications, and departmental management. In addition to academic roles, Fourie is the Chief Executive Officer of SUN Magnetics, engaging in the commercialization of technology related to superconductor and quantum electronics EDA tools. Fourie holds a Doctor of Engineering (DEng) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stellenbosch University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in the same field.
