Lydia Bhebe

Lydia Bhebe is currently a PhD candidate at Stellenbosch University specializing in the intersection of environmental sustainability, wildlife health, and human health within game meat production, while also serving as a Programmes Assistant and Postgraduate Fellow at the African Wildlife Economy Institute. With extensive experience as a Climate Resilience Advocate for the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change, Lydia has been instrumental in promoting climate justice and sustainable agricultural practices. Previously, Lydia held several roles in talent acquisition, including positions as a Talent Sourcer in the SaaS industry and as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Qualcomm and DotConnect. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Ecotourism and Biodiversity Conservation and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, both from the National University of Science and Technology.
