2016年藉由台日再生醫療的策略結盟，深化台日雙方的合作關係，更促進再生醫學產業化和實用化的發展。2018年向美日兩國申請的臨床試驗二期申請案，相繼於7月14日和7月29日正式通過。一旦於日本完成異體間葉幹細胞新藥的二期臨床試驗，將依日本再生醫藥專法申請孤兒藥資格及最高7至10年暫時性藥證許可。
