Mark Smith

Mark Smith is an experienced Electronic Technician with a robust background in electrical and control systems within the drilling and maritime industries. Currently serving at Stena Drilling since May 2021, Mark previously held leadership roles at Caspian Drilling Company Ltd. as Chief Electronic Technician and at Seadrill Careers as Senior Electronic Technician, where significant contributions included commissioning and maintaining advanced automation systems on vessels. Earlier positions include Electrical Field Service Engineer at National Oilwell Varco, where installation and maintenance of drilling products were key responsibilities, and Field Unit Electrical Engineer at SSE plc. Mark's career commenced in the Royal Air Force as Engineering Line Manager, following education in Mechatronic Engineering at UHI, where a Higher National Diploma was attained.
