Lamar McCaster

LaMar McCaster, M.S., is an accomplished Information Security Specialist currently employed at Step Up For Students since July 2022. Previously, LaMar served as a Security Analyst at the University of Miami from July 2018 to February 2022, where responsibilities included troubleshooting security software, investigating malware alerts, managing vulnerability scans for over 25,000 devices, and monitoring network traffic. Prior experience includes roles at Nordstrom as a Security Operations Tier 1, and positions in security analysis and support at TEKsystems and Creating Margin. LaMar holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Security and a Graduate Certificate in Software Design & Programming from the University of Denver, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences from the University of Washington.
