Stephen Center, Inc

Stephen Center partners with the community, families and individuals to overcome homlessness, addiction and poverty. Stephen Center has served the homeless and low-income is Omaha since 1984 through our three programs: Emergency Shelter, HERO Program and Transitional Living Program. The Stephen Center recently opened Stephen Center Thrift at 5128 S 24th St, in Omaha, NE. Stephen Center Emergency Shelter is the only dry shelter in the Metro Area. The shelter houses men, women and children. The program has operated over capacity for the past several years. The HERO Program is a state-licensed substance abuse treatment center. The program recognizes the need for and provides treatment options for those with a co-occurring mental illness as well. Stephen Center Transitional Living Program provides independent housing opportunities for persons that have successfully completed a drug and alcohol treatment program. Stephen Center Thrift is located at 5128 S 24th St. Stephen Center Thrift will be providing jobs and training that will allow clients to get back on their feet and into homes of their own. We will also provide vouchers to our clients that they can use to shop and pay for items in the store. All proceeds from the operation of Stephen Center Thrift will support the operation of our mission
