Stibbe
Hans is Managing Partner in our Amsterdam office. In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Partner, he is part of the Stibbe Amsterdam M&A group and specialises in Dutch corporate law, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance transactions, acting for private equity funds, multinationals and financial institutions.
Practicing at Stibbe Amsterdam since 1994, Hans was seconded to Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, New York (2000-2001) and practiced for nine years in our New York office, before heading up the Stibbe London office between from 2007 through 2021. He was appointed Managing Partner effective 1 January 2022.
Hans is Officer of the Corporate and M&A Law Committee of the International Bar Association. Hans is a member of the Editorial Board of the legal periodical Business Law International. He is a member of the Netherlands Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Hans is regularly invited to speak on M&A and Private Equity topics.
