Karin van Hoesel

Karin van Hoesel has extensive experience in educational support and child development, currently serving as an Intern begeleider at Stichting Surplus since August 2021. Prior to this, Karin worked at OPSPOOR in a similar role from September 2017 to August 2021, and held the position of Orthopedagoog / Onderwijsadviseur at OBD Noordwest from January 2008 to September 2017, focusing on tailored education for students with specific needs. Initial professional experience includes work as an Orthopedagoog i.o. at de Bascule, where Karin specialized in children with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Karin's educational background includes a Master of Science in Pedagogical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, complemented by various certifications in communication, coaching, and emotional well-being. Ongoing education includes training in gifted education and as a (highly) gifted coordinator, further demonstrating commitment to inclusive educational practices.
