Laura Resnick Samotin is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in international relations and political science. Currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University since May 2015, Laura has designed and taught courses on grand strategy and foreign policy decision making, including a lecture co-taught with Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton. Laura's extensive experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Columbia's Saltzman Institute, Non-Resident Senior Fellow at The Stimson Center and Atlantic Council, Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Partnerships at Columbia SIPA, and Co-Investigator for the Empirical Analysis of Great Power Challenges Project. Laura earned a Ph.D. in International Relations from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
