Derek Grant Martin

Derek Grant Martin is an accomplished theatre professional currently serving as a Professor of Practice in Theatre at Stonehill College since July 2022. In addition, Derek holds the titles of Co-Artistic Director and Executive Director at Americana Theatre Company since July 2020. Prior experience includes a tenure at William Jessup University from December 2012 to October 2023, where Derek was Chairman of the Department of Theatre and Associate Professor of Theatre. Previously, Derek was Head of the BA Theatre Program at Regent University from July 2009 to June 2012. Derek's educational background includes two Master of Fine Arts degrees in Acting and Directing from Regent University, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Hartford.
