Colette Brown has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Colette most recently served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Stony Brook Medicine, starting in June 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive Consultant at Linke Resources, LLC starting in January 2018. From January 2016 to June 2018, Colette held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Colette also served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Melmark from November 2009 to January 2016, and as the Vice President of Human Resources at Presby's Inspired Life from July 2008 to November 2009. Colette's career began in 1986, where they held the position of Director of Human Resources at Crozer-Keystone Health System for over 20 years, specifically overseeing Taylor & Springfield Hospitals.

Colette Brown holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Widener University, which they completed between 1986 and 1989. Colette also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University and graduated from Mineola High School with a high school diploma. In addition to their degrees, Colette has earned certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Villanova University in 2021, SHRM-SPC from SHRM in 2015, and SPHR from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2006.
