Haresh Gurnani

Haresh Gurnani currently holds the position of Dean at Stony Brook University since July 2023. Prior to this role, Gurnani served as the Thomas H Davis Chair of Business at Wake Forest University from July 2015 to June 2023, where responsibilities included Area Chair for Quantitative Methods & Operations, Marketing, and Economics, as well as Program Director for the Mathematical Business Program and Executive Director of the Center for Retail Innovation. Gurnani's previous experience includes leadership roles in various academic and professional organizations, including serving as a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and as Vice President at the Production and Operations Management Society. Gurnani's academic career also includes positions as Leslie O Barnes Professor and Department Chair at the University of Miami and as Associate and Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Gurnani earned both a Master of Science and a PhD in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
