Art Haas

Art Haas has a diverse work experience in the field of programming and software development. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as a Programmer at WesternGeco, where they were responsible for building seismic data processing programs using 'make' and various scripts. Art supported multiple systems such as Linux, Solaris, AIX, and Irix. In 2002, they founded AJH Software and created an open-source CAD package called PythonCAD. Art also did periodic contract programming work during this time. From 2007 to the present, they have been working at StormGeo as a Programmer/Administrator, developing and maintaining software for meteorologists. Art also performs system administration tasks on Linux servers and desktop workstations, primarily using Tcl/Tk, C, C++, and PHP.

Art Haas earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, which they attended from 1986 to 1990. Art then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution, graduating in 1992.
