Paul Cummer

Paul Cummer is an experienced machine learning researcher currently serving as the Lead Machine Learning Researcher at STR since June 2021, following a role as a Senior Machine Learning Researcher. Prior experience includes a position as a Data Scientist at Spark Insights, where contributions involved developing deep learning models and establishing quality assurance processes. Earlier, Paul worked at Deloitte Consulting as a Business Analyst in Applied AI, focusing on computer vision pipelines and advanced analytics. Additional experience includes an internship at Monitor Deloitte, auditing and improving ML models, and an internship with the National Park Service, where Paul engaged diverse audiences with educational presentations. Paul holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford.
