Serena Nicoll

Serena Nicoll is an accomplished Machine Learning Researcher at STR, specializing in the development of innovative machine learning solutions in collaboration with DARPA and defense initiatives since June 2022. Prior experience includes a Cyber-Physical Systems Internship and a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant role at Purdue University, where Serena developed machine learning algorithms for educational data analysis and presented a novel NLP toolkit for instructor feedback analysis. Serena also served as a Community Advisor at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, fostering enrichment opportunities for freshmen, and worked as an Innovation Design Intern at Rockwell Automation, where contributions included the creation of an "Innovation Toolkit" and a K-12 outreach strategy. Educational credentials comprise a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Classics from the University of Minnesota.
