Joel Fortgang

Joel Fortgang is an established engineer and manager with extensive experience in software development and controls engineering. Currently serving as Controls Software Manager at Stratasys since February 2018, Joel has previously held key positions including Software and IT Manager and Motion Control Engineer at TARUS, where notable accomplishments included leading the creation of CNC control software and developing advanced trajectory planning algorithms that significantly improved machine efficiency. Joel's educational background includes a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additional experience includes serving as a Site Supervisor for Habitat for Humanity and a Design Engineer at Sakaino Industries.
